The Many Uses Of Axial Fans
Without realizing it, you may have seen many different axial fans. Axial fans are fans that blow air in a parallel direction to the axle of the fan's blade. These type of fans are seen in many different cooling products that we use. For instance, you will find plastic axial fans in air conditioners, computers, copy machines and many more electronics and appliances. The purpose of these fans is to create an axial flow of air to cool a particular area. A computer uses the fan to cool the hard drive and other electronic components to ensure that they continue to function.
Of course plastic axial fans are used in more obvious appliances like your typical floor or window fan. Axial fans create a high axial flow of air in areas that the pressure demand is low. Axial fans can come in many different sizes. For instance a computer fan is very small, but an aircraft wing, which is also a type of axial fan, is obviously a much large fan. The aircraft wing, however, creates the airplane to move by pushing the air away from the fan whereas the computer fan is stationary which blows air to create a cooling effect. A ceiling fan is also a type of axial fan that is affixed to the ceiling so that the air moves around the room. You can also find axial fans in automobiles that provide engine cooling.
Fans play an important part in our lives. As you can see, they can be found everywhere in everyday products and appliances to industrial uses. We need them for various uses from cooling, creating wind tunnels and making airplanes move. Next time you are using office equipment or an appliance in your kitchen, take a minute to think about whether or not a fan is being used. You will be amazed how many things you use have fans. I know that on a hot summer day, I would suffer from the heat without a fan blowing cool air on me. So the next time you turn on your ceiling fan, computer or air conditioner, remember how it works by using an axial fan.
